A couple from Valencia has been rescued from a devastating fire, hailing their dramatic rescue as a miracle.
The fire broke out in their home late on Thursday night, trapping them inside. Thanks to the quick response of the fire department, they were able to be rescued just in time.
“I refuse to die,” said Maria, one of the rescued individuals. “I knew we had to fight to survive and we were not going to give up.”
The firefighters were able to break through a window and pull the couple to safety, despite the raging flames surrounding them.
“It was a truly terrifying experience, but we are so grateful to be alive,” said Antonio, Maria’s husband. “We owe our lives to the brave firefighters who risked their own lives to save us.”
